Gabriela Scheufele completed an undergraduate degree in Geography at the University of Augsburg and a postgraduate degree in Physical Geography at the University of Trier, Germany. After working for the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) for several years, she completed a Master of Natural Resource Economics at the University of Queensland, in 2007 and a PhD in Environmental Economics at the Australian National University investigating changes in non-market values and non-market-valuation techniques across time in 2011. Since 2012 she has been a Research Fellow in the Crawford School of Public Policy at the ANU. Her current research interests focus on PES scheme design; non-market environmental valuation; design of conservation auctions; and incorporating environmental economic research into policy development.
